Refreshing Day 7 ~ Let It Fade and Healing Music

The right song can be so refreshing. The lyric and melody just hits you right "there". Music can gets you dancing. It can also soothe and heal.

Jeremy Camp wrote a song called "Let It Fade" from his Beyond Measure album.

I've had some awesome healing, crying times with loved ones while we listen to his lyrics.

The 1st verse shares these words: video below

Have you been walking on a surface that's uncertain?
Have you helped yourself to everything that's empty?
You can't live this way too long.
There's more than this, more than this.

Have you been standing on your own feet too long?
Have you been looking for a place where you belong?
You can rest, you will find rest.
You can rest, you will find rest.

I'm that person.

~The one that never asked for help.
~The one that was deeply hurt and felt it was impossible to   depend on anyone.
~The one that was abandoned and learned self-reliance.

I'm that person.

~The one that wanted to find rest from all that hard work of  building walls, locking gates, and keeping the doors and windows shut to keep all the hurtful ones out.

I'm that person.

~The one learning to live life differently and free.
~The one letting people in and accepting them where they are.
~The one allowing others to be imperfect too.
~The one who gets hurt sometimes, but doesn't let it keep me from meeting more people and connecting anyway...in amazing ways!

Such freeing words in the chorus:

Let this old life crumble, let it fade.
Let this new life offered be your saving grace.
Let this old life crumble, let it fade, let it fade.

Is there a song that has refreshed and brought you healing?

I can't think of one song, there are so many that God has used to break the walls around me down. Currently I love Blessings by Laura Story.
