Lately, guilt has stemmed from false responsibility.
As my body heals itself, I require more rest. There are times my body cries for a week of rest or even more.
Doctors orders are to “live like you’re retired”. I’m supposed to do things at my own pace and listen to my body for the “okay, that’s enough for now” message. I’m really good at doing it too!

Then, there are those times when I see David in training and doing his normal days’ work in one work day.
That’s when I see... how imperfect I am. I put a good foot forward and try to be like I was - Chief cook and bottle washer. The “I can do everything myself and you can count on me” girl.
All that leaves is a wiped out, worn out, and of no benefit to anyone woman. And...my body shuts down like I went to the gym and worked out for hours.

The only way to escape my “perfect woman” trap is to...
Be content where I’m at! I can only do and offer what I can...and that’s perfect enough :D
Know what taking good care of me means - rest, relaxation, enjoyment, low stress in all areas and eating right. Then, understand how to live it in a way that fits me.
Let God re-create me day by day making me into that new woman of peace and slow flow who trusts His plans for me and His timing. That’s sustainable living.
Accept who I am right now - progressively healing, differently paced from the rat race, learning to have grace toward myself.

That’s why Grace is the perfect woman/person with Wisdom and Understanding as mentors.
Her result is true beauty.
Proverbs 4:3
"Take this to heart. Do what I tell you—live! Sell everything and buy Wisdom!
Forage for Understanding! Don't forget one word! Don't deviate an inch!
Never walk away from Wisdom—she guards your life; love her—she keeps her eye on you.
Above all and before all, do this: Get Wisdom! Write this at the top of your list:
Get Understanding! Throw your arms around her—believe me, you won't regret it; never let her go—she'll make your life glorious.
She'll garland your life with grace, she'll festoon your days with beauty."."
She'll garland your life with grace, she'll festoon your days with beauty."."
Have you ever dealt with false responsibility? Especially, when it seems "it's" the "right thing" to do.
