The Waiting and Beginning Again

edited with Rhonna Designs app
Grace. Such a powerfully forgiving word. I have been so blessed by countless people encouraging me while on my unexpected break from blogging my heart here.

I have had such a beautiful time of rest and recovery. Our family, on the mend both individually and as a unit. It made room for months of miracles, healing, and restoration.

To celebrate God in this New Year, I pray blessings of joy, peace, healing, and restoration for all of you.

The struggle is hard.
The issues are real.
The mess is total chaos.

Yet with complete surety I can tell you, that in time...

Healing and restoration will come.
God is completely faithful.
The joy and peace that follow will blow your mind.

Praying for you in the waiting. Believing with you for beginning again.

Hugs from Hawaii,
Jeri

Never Alone on this Journey

My Jesus Calling devotional says that we are each on God's unique path for us. Our journey. There are so many treasures we discover on our adventure. Joys, wonders, and companionship too.

We can take comfort and celebrate His constant companionship and of the ones He chooses to be with us as we travel. Even the people we meet in the line at the coffee shop, grocery store, and in the bookstore aisle.

Next time it gets long and hard, let's pause and ask Him to remind us of the treasures. These are the times to pull out our gratitude list and maybe even say them out loud.

We are never alone.

Jeri

Deuteronomy 31:6 ~ “Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you.”

Psalm 16:3And these God-chosen lives all around—
    what splendid friends they make!

One day later, but usually on Thursdays I Join Barista Bonnie where she brews up shots of faith. Come share a cup.

Try a Little Thankfulness in the Morning

In yesterday's post, I shared how whispering Jesus' name can change our focus. One name and everything changes. A small choice with huge benefits.

We wake up and the to-do list feeds through our minds before we even get out of bed. It takes just one thing on that list to affect our outlook on the day. Then another thing and another. Suddenly, we're not even looking forward to the day that hasn't even begun.

Try this tomorrow morning. Soon as you wake up begin to list what and who you're thankful for. If it helps make a list tonight and have it within reach for tomorrow. I swear it will make a big difference. Don't be surprised if you find yourself smiling when you look in the mirror as you get ready.

Jeri

Inspiration Finds Me:: Even on the Street

It is so easy to fall into the trap of self-pity. Well, for me anyway. I might wake up on a low energy day with the symptoms of this condition taking over my body. Or, in the middle of a good day the symptoms might force rest.

I'm learning to embrace the uneven patterns and say, "Jesus, you have made this day too." I can even smile now as I say it out loud. Everything changes right then. I feel different. Even if the skies are winter gray, I see it's unique beauty and welcome it into my soul. You know, the gray even seems brighter right then.

Here's the extras just when I need a lift...

I'll get a text from sweet Amanda.

Shilo will surprise me and stop by with Lil Man.

I'll be just well enough to go see Annette.

And...

Yesterday, on our walk I ran into a sweet acquaintance who doesn't even live in our area. She just decided to exercise our awesome hills! We had an uplifting little reunion.

You see! God sends inspiration to find me and lift me up.

He sends inspiration to us every day.
I'm so excited for us all to see it.
Receive it.
Joy in it.

My inspiration for finding even the littlest of joys and smallest of wonders will always be God. The extra and sweet gracious gift He gives me is in the ones around me.

He is surrounding you with a few or many to inspire you.

May we pause...breathe...and see.

Psalms 46:8, 10 ~ "Attention all! See the marvels of God!
Step out of traffic!
Take a long loving look at me, your High God,
above...everything."
