Thoughts for the Weekend ~ Masterpiece

I'm reading a devotional titled Coach Wooden One-On-One by Jay Carty and John Wooden. In one of the devotions, Jay quotes comedian Robert G. Lee regarding a bank account called "Time".

"Every day it is credited with 86,400 seconds. At midnight, whatever you failed to use is lost. A balance will not be carried over to the next day and you're not allowed overdrafts. Each day the bank named Time opens a new account with you. Each night it burns the records of the day. If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours."

With You in Mind:
Each day sit with God and ask Him what His plan is for your day. Let this be your quiet time of reflection on the current day and days. Gently place it all before Him. Linger in His word and presence and let Him show you just one thing you can do to create your masterpiece called "Today".

What's one thing you can do to create your day's masterpiece?

~ Maybe you start with just lingering in His stillness.
~ Maybe you give up one thing of busyness.
~ Maybe it's a short purposeful hike or fulfilling activity.

May you find joy in knowing He creates together with you.
Your part in it all is simply mindfulness -- to be full present.

Soul Refreshment:
Ephesians 5:17 ~ Don't live carelessly, unthinkingly. Make sure you understand what the Master wants.

Lord, show us how to each make our individual days a masterpiece for you. Thank you for making us beautifully unique so that how we create is special. Remind us that this process is not rushed or pressed. May the minutes of our days bring you glory.

If you've quietly slipped in to slip out - thank you more than you know. So glad to have you here.
