In My Pauses and Quiet Hours

Joshua 1:7 ~
Don't get off track, either left or right,
so as to make sure you get to where you're going.
My times off-the-grid are so precious to me. There is where I am realigned, repositioned, and refreshed. All the “new” things can be so intimidating, but these moments nourish me. I hear God whisper so clearly, warm my heart, and affirm me.

Catching up
The last week has been so full. My first family photo shoot was so fun for all of us. It went extremely well. Bathroom renovations are underway (upstairs and downstairs). My niece and her new hubby surprised me and are here on their honeymoon. Another niece and her family arrive today. I have my second photo shoot tomorrow. School starts on Monday. Lastly, for now, our grandson is due anytime over the next few weeks!
Perspective:
In between all of those activities we find time to breathe deeply. Each activity has its place and day/time. We’ve made sure to put our time with God first in prayer, His word, and worship. It keeps me focused and balanced. When I need a little redirect I can count on God to lovingly and gently nudge me. It may even be through another person.
What I’m hearing:
  • Make my pauses and quiet hours with God priority.
  • To find and have strength, courage, and know that I’m not alone. (Joshua 1:1-9)
  • Take care of my temple (it’s a gift) so I can give of myself to others.
  • Continue in my fulfilling and refreshing activities.
Your pauses:
What are you hearing in your pauses and quiet hours? If you haven’t been still lately, take some time to find a quiet place, get comfortable, and breathe deeply. As you relax your body, soul and spirit you’ll hear just what you need to.

Dear Jeri,
I love these verses that you posted. I had to go read them for myself as soon as I saw this post on your blog. Isn't the word of God so beautiful? I want to thank you for stopping by my blog and offering your beautiful words to me. You are a great cyber-friend! :) I hope that I can be the same to you.
Love, Sierra
