Shadow came to us

Little did we know, that when Shilo, our oldest son, brought Shadow home it would one of "the" best gifts ever.

Shadow is a rescue rehab dog. His social skills have shown that He will only thrive within His own pack - us!

Loving persistence from the three of us and the support of great people has brought Shadow so much healing. He can cuddle with us now, and be on the couch with us, he gives gentle kisses, and can play "rough" without hurting us.

Working with Shadow has helped our marriage in huge ways. You learn to be on the same page in communication vocally and  body language. We're learning not to let our impatience get the best of us and to keep a calm demeanor. It's filtering into our everyday :D

We've become outdoors people. Hiking and walking with Shadow has brought so much healing to Jeri's body. His quirky and energetic personality makes us laugh so hard and he knows it too.

Here and there we'll use what we learn from life with Shadow throughout the blog. So much of enjoying life has been discovered through having him with us.
